Though there were many reported sightings and attacks by the Chupacabra in Texas and other southern states of the USA, those were promptly dismissed by the biologists and academics. They always were in denial mode, regarding the existence of Chupacabra. At the same time, many people, including the affected farmers thought that Chupacabra was real.
In fact, hundreds of cases of Chupacabra like attacks on goats and chickens were reported from Texas, and all over the Southern states.
In all those cases, blood was drunk through two holes on the neck of the victims. The flesh would not be eaten at all.
Similar to Chupacabra attacks reported in Puerto Rico, Kerala in India (Raktha Athika - the Indian Chupacabra) etc. But the biologists of the Universities of Texas, California, Harvard etc., dismissed those reports as Coyotes, Mexican Wolves, Raccoons etc., with a skin condition called mange.
Biologists also pointed out that few photos of the Chupacabra exist. Yet another reason according to them why Chupacabras don't exist.
This narrative by biologists was the prevailing one, for many decades. Until a scientist named Dijo Thomas literally shocked the scientific world with real, multiple photos of the Chupacabra in Texas. He named the Chupacabra that he discovered in Texas the American Chupacabra.
F3B - NSPM Method to Scientifically Prove the American Chupacabra
Dijo Thomas also claimed to have scientifically proved the existence of the Chupacabra in Texas through the F3B - NSPM Method.
In the F3B - NSPM Method for the American Chupacabra, along with various other evidence, he also marked the morphological features of a taxidermy specimen of a strange creature called the Texas Blue Dog. Biologists were claiming, after DNA testing in multiple labs, that Texas Blue Dogs were a hybrid between a Coyote and a Mexican Wolf.
Dijo Thomas stunned the academics and biologists, when he showed that not even a single morphological feature is that of a Coyote or Mexican Wolf. (You would be able to see that diagram in his blogs, on Facebook etc.)
Here we also have to note that Dijo Thomas was the one to discover and scientifically prove the Indian Chupacabra, the Raktha Athika, in 2016.
We also have to note that what Phyllis Canion had been saying about her stuffed specimen of a Chupacabra is broadly similar to what Dijo Thomas says about the American Chupacabra. The only difference is that while Phyllis was not able to scientifically prove her claims, Dijo Thomas seems to have been able to do so with the F3B - NSPM Method.
Regarding the discovery of a new species, as well as for the scientific community to accept it, this makes all the difference.
Ben Radford's Findings
Skeptic Ben Radford did a five year long study on the reported attacks. He came to the conclusion that the Chupacabra doesn't exist. He also wrote a book on the subject, saying that the Chupacabra doesn't exist.
Dijo Thomas challenged Ben Radford on his findings. He also sent him the pictures of different Chupacabra species that he discovered. According to Dijo Thomas, though Ben initially didn't respond, when he finally responded, he didn't accept the challenge for an open debate before international media. Dijo Thomas went as far as to release the screenshots of the emails between them, in his Facebook account.
