Japanese Chupacabra is a cryptid reported from Japan.

The wife of a manga artist named Senno Knife saw a strange creature at a certain location in Japan and reported it to cryptid researcher Takeshi Nakazawa.

The strange creature was blue-green in color, hopped on both feet, and disappeared into a shrubbery. The witness said it looked like a Kappa, Chupacabra, or Gappa from a Japanese monster movie.

No detailed time of sighting was mentioned, and the location of the sighting was kept secret.

Takeshi Nakazawa went to investigate the site in 2017, but was unable to find the creature or any trace of it.

Although it is unclear whether this sighting is related, there is a tradition in Tokushima Prefecture of the appearance of a yokai that attacks cows, called Ushiuchibo, which some cryptid researchers believe may be related to chupacabra.
